The Mass of Christian Burial will bencelebrated by Rev. Gerald Foley with burial in the St. Mary'snCemetery, Reedsville. Military Graveside Rites will be held bynOtto Oas VFW Post #659.nHe was born November 11, 1910, in Reedsville, son of the late Josephnand Anna Novak Zahorik. He graduated from Reedsville High School andnDeVry Institute of Electronics, Chicago. He served with the UnitednStates Army in the South Pacific from 1942 to 1946. He married Rita M.nNachtwey, November 25, 1937, in Cooperstown. Ernie was an electriciannfor the Burger Boat Compnay (sic) and then the Manitowoc Company fromnwhere he retired in 1972 after 25 years of employment. Ernie lovednmost sports including baseball and football. He also was an avidnbowler. Ernie was a member of the Holy Innocents Catholic Church, OttonOas VFW Post #659 and the Electrician's Union.nSurvivors include his wife, Rita; two brothers, Edward (Mary) Zahorik,nMilwaukee, Joseph (Juanita) Zahorik, Reedsville; brothers and sisters-nin-law include, Wilber (Evelyn) Wojta, Marie Moyer, all of Manitowoc,nAl (Lucille) Nachtwey, Green Bay; special nieces and nephews, include,nRita (Don) Kohlbeck, Ellen (Jerry) Christel, Bill (Jane) Wojta, allnof Manitowoc; also many other dear nieces, nephews, other relativesnand many friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Wells.nFriends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday fromn6-8 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. led by Deacon DonaldnSchneider.
