a) Obituary published in the Appleton Post Crescent, Wed. Oct. 20, 1999:nFrank J. Novak, Appleton Age 84, died Tuesday, October 19, 1999, at Peabody Manor. He was born July 25, 1915, in Argonne, Wisconsin, son of John and Anne (Foreyt) Novak. He married Mary Jane Arndorfer on October 26, 1946, in Green Bay. Frank served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He was a member of Northeast Wisconsin X-POW Chapter. He was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Disabled American Veterans. Frank worked for the Giddings & Lewis Company until the time of his retirement.nHe is survived by his wife; a daughter, Virginia Rochon, Appleton; three sons, Thomas (Mary), Little Chute; James (friend Dianne Lettau), Kaukauna; John (Cheryl), Appleton; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Emily Golie, Kimberly; Marie Fritsch, Oneida, and Gertrude Marohn, Oshkosh. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters and a son-in-law, Paul Rochon.nA memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 1999, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 312 S. State St., with Father Michael O'Rourke officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. A private interment will take place at St. Martin's Cemetery in Cecil.
