Vondrachek, 38, of Rt. 1, Reedsville, was instantly killed inna head-on collision on Highway 10 a mile east of Brillion at 10:55 p.m. Monday.nCounty Coroner Dr. Theodore Teitgen said an inquest would be held.nMrs. Vondrachek’s husband, Charles F., 42, swung their car off the pavement tonavoid a car driven by (name omitted for privacy). The (omitted) car was comingnin the wrong lane of traffic, it was reported.nThe maneuver failed. (Omitted) car struck the Vondrachek auto which was a fullnfoot off the pavement on the shoulder of the road, according to Dr. Teitgen.nThe cars were telescoped together so tightly two tractors from neighboring farmsnhad to be used to pry them apart.nGreen Bay HospitalnVondrachek and (omitted) were taken to St. Vincent Hospital at Green Bay, wherenboth were reported in “fair” condition Tuesday. The husband suffered chest andnfacial injuries.nDr. Teitgen said Vondrachek’s brother, Joseph, was following the couple home fromnBrillion. He said the brother told of seeing the car approach. Charles Vondracheknkept edging his car towards the shoulder to avoid the (omitted) auto which wasnveering into the wrong lane of traffic. William Koutnik will officiate and burialnwill be in the church cemetery at Reedsville.nMrs. Vondrachek was born Marcella Cecilia Kocourek Sept. 8, 1915, in the town ofnMaple Grove, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kocourek Sr. On May 17, 1938, shenwas married to Charles F. Vondrachek. The couple lived on a farm in the town ofnRockland.nSurvivors include the husband; two daughters, at home; two sons, also at homen(names omitted for privacy); the parents, eight brothers, Leonard and Clarence ofnManitowoc, M-Sgt. Roman of Phoenix, Ariz., Harold, John and Lester of Rt. 1,nReedsville, Ralph of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, and Elroy of Rt. 1, Two Rivers; threensisters, Mrs. Joseph Anhalt of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, Mrs. Norbert Meidl of Rt. 4,nManitowoc, and Mrs. Jerome Ebert of Manitowoc.nFriends may call at the funeral home from 7:30 p.m. Tuesday until the hour ofnservices.
