Charles Cyril Vondrachek's memories of Wenzel and Annie's wedding:

Wenzel, pronounced Venzel,(there was no W in the Bohemian alphabet) was Charlie's uncle (his Dad's brother). He married Annie Jerabek, Charlie's mother's cousin. Wenzel and Annie had a double wedding with Annie's sister Mary, who married Charlie Burich. The "Band" arrived at the groom's house to play while he got dressed. They had a wagon trimmed with cedars and places for everyone to sit. On this day, they picked Wenzel up first, then Charlie Burich and went on to Jerabek's for the brides. This was when they had morning weddings. The band played in front of church and after the ceremony took the newly-weds back to the home of the brides, where the band played all day. Most of the friends and relatives were farmers that had to do "chores and milking". They would go home for chores and then return to celebrate. There was a dance at night.
