Lucille Cummings

a) Lucille "Lucy" Tikalsky, age 92, a resident of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc,
formerly of Brillion, died on Saturday, March 16, 2002, surrounded by her
family at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.
She was born June 11, 1909 at Grimms to the late William and Anna B. (Morrissey)
Cummings. She married Edward J. Tikalsky at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Maple
Grove on June 14, 1928. She was employed for a number of years at Chilton Metal
Products and the Larsen Canning Co. of Brillion. She and her husband Edward also
operated a farm near Brillion for many years. She was a member of Holy Family
Parish, Brillion, Christian Mothers, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Reedsville
Lioness Club. She enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends and family.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Alvin Stueber, Whitelaw;
her grandchildren: Jerry (Patti) Stueber, Linda (Tom) Helmick, Paul Tikalsky, Ron
(Conni) Tikalsky, Kay McElroy, and Jane (Mike) Mueller; her great grandchildren:
Thomas Stueber Jr. and fiance Nicole Kane, Joseph, Carissa, and Cassie Tikalsky,
Kyle, Amanda, and Luke Mueller; five sisters: Lorraine Kapinos, Alyce Lemberger,
Bernice Pritzl, Lenor Typner, and Ann Marie Cummings, Lillian Wenzel, and a brother-
in-law Rudy Tikalsky. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, a son and
daughter-in-law Alfred and Ardys Tikalsky, a grandson Thomas Stuebwer, four brothers,
Michael, Robert, Raymond, and Leonard Cummings, and a sister Myrtle Cummings.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family
Catholic Church in Brillion. The Rev. Tom Long will officiate; burial will be at
St. Mary Cemetery in Reedsville. Relatives and friends may call at the Wieting
Funeral Home in Brillion from 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 18, and at the church on
Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of mass. Herald Times Reporter, March 17, 2002.
